Minneapolis, MN, September 26, 2012 – NightOwl Discovery, a leading national provider of innovative discovery management solutions, announced today that it has added kCura’s Method legal hold application to its suite of hosted discovery services. Method is a legal hold management system that addresses both the workflow and risk assessment challenges corporations face when creating a defensible and repeatable legal hold process.
Built on Relativity, kCura’s eDiscovery review platform, Method helps organize the hold process into a straightforward, repeatable progression. Instead of using several software products, spreadsheets, locally saved documents, and individual email accounts, users can centralize their processes and hold-related information using one web-based application. With Method, users can send out legal hold notifications by email, interview custodians to gather information, track and analyze responses, and generate reports to maintain a defensibly sound audit trail of all communications with custodians and other relevant parties.
“NightOwl is pleased to provide our clients with a comprehensive legal hold notification system,” said Tom Palladino, President of NightOwl. “Method addresses an important piece of the discovery process that is a struggle for many corporations. Method compliments the services NightOwl already provides to corporations and allows us to engage with them earlier in the discovery process.”
NightOwl plans to offer Method as a fully managed service to clients in conjunction with, and independent, of Relativity.
“We’re excited to see NightOwl now offering Method,” said Andrew Sieja, president and CEO of kCura. “Using Method, NightOwl can provide improvements in efficiency and defensibility for legal hold processes without requiring a major investment. We look forward to helping them expand their service offering as they provide this option to their clients.”
