New in 2016: Proactive Litigation Intelligence

In 2015 “data reuse” was the term used in discovery management to describe the efficient reuse of data collected from multiple ligation maters within a corporation. Instead of preserving evidence by collecting it all over again in new matters, companies started cross indexing collected data to minimize collections, reduce the amount of data in evidence archives and avoid business disruption.
In 2016 NightOwl Discovery is taking that concept one step further with “Proactive litigation intelligence.” In addition to just reusing data collected in multiple matters to reduce the volume of newly data collected; analytics are being proactively applied to the evidence archives across all litigation matters to better understand and predict litigation risks and develop strategies for future litigation.
To that end, I expect to see in 2016 new and existing technology being applied to generate metrics for proactive litigation intelligence.
