NightOwl was a key sponsor at the 2020 SOLID West Summit on Legal Innovation and Disruption held in San Francisco on February 27th. Speakers at this fast pace Ted-style talk shared what they are doing, how they are doing it, and the business impact. There were over twenty topics presented in 7-minute segments.
SOLID, presented by The Cowen Group, is by invite only and it draws the top thought leaders in legal technology and innovation including chief innovation officers from the country’s largest firms, practicing lawyers, and leading product and service providers like NightOwl Global. Jen Warner from Columbia Sportwear Company kicked off the third SOLID West with a genuine and personal approach to developing and inspiring leadership.
This year, NightOwl’s Dan Pelc, Director of Client Solutions & Integration, spoke on “What Managed Services Can Learn from the Tour de France”. This presentation took lessons learned from the Tour de France about preparation, team building, focusing on the goal, and always striving for your personal best! A basic reflection of what the NightOwl team is all about.
The major take away from this event is that change is accelerating and the legal landscape is being significantly altered. The old legal model is no longer sustainable in today’s fast pace legal operations environment. Tech innovators are leading the charge in providing measurable transformation and NextGen technology where better solutions are discovered when diverse teams attack innovation from a fresh perspective. This event, along with NightOwl Global, is leading the innovation and transformation path toward a SOLID direction.
